Caring For Your New Windows

Caring For Your New Windows

New windows will be one of your biggest investments into your home.  To keep your windows looking brand new year after year, don't forget to show them some attention on an annual basis.

If you bought a brand new car, as much as the exterior and interior are maintenance free, you are still going to wash it and maintain it, as you have spent a lot of money on this car and you want  to keep it looking new and in good working order for a long time. If something isn't working properly you are going to contact your dealer to deal with the issue to keep your car in good working order.

Windows are the same in a lot of ways. You have invested a lot money to upgrade your home and as much as they are virtually maintenance free, you are still going to wash them, check the seals and caulking, use the operators and lock handles properly to keep them looking new and performing to their true potential.  If you notice an issue with your windows, you will want to make us aware of it so that it can be resolved.

Here are a few tips to help you keep your windows looking good and performing at their top performance

If you have very hard water, we suggest that you try cleaning your glass with a vinegar based spray cleaner with a soft lint free cloth.

To clean paint, grease, or caulking, use a mild abrasive such as Vim cream cleanser on a wet cloth applying only where necessary. Make sure to wash off with warm soapy water and rinse with clear water.
